iPhone 18 Pro Max vs Xiaomi 17T Pro: Which One Deserves Your Money?
If you are considering a new flagship phone, you might be choosing between the iPhone 18 Pro Max and the Xiaomi 17T Pro. Both offer strong specs, but there is a big difference in price and daily use. In this comparison, we explain what each phone does better and who each one suits.
1iPhone 18 Pro Max: Performance and a Complete Camera System
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is for those who want a large phone with a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display and refresh rate up to 120Hz, powered by the A20 Pro chip that combines strong performance with high efficiency. The triple rear camera offers 48 MP for each lens (main, ultrawide, and telephoto) with optical zoom up to 8x, plus an 18 MP front camera. It also supports IP68 water and dust resistance up to 6 meters for 30 minutes.
One of its strongest points is the battery, rated for up to 30 hours of typical use and up to 45 hours of video playback, with fast charging up to 50% in about 15 minutes using a 60W or higher adapter, and MagSafe wireless charging up to 25W. However, note that it does not support external memory cards, relies on eSIM only with no physical SIM, and does not include a charger in the box.
Pricing starts at 149,999 EGP at B.TECH in Egypt, from 6,099 SAR in Saudi Arabia, and from 6,599 AED in the UAE. This phone suits those who want the full Apple experience, a versatile camera, and strong performance, and do not mind paying a high price for it.
2Xiaomi 17T Pro: Huge Battery and Fast Display at a Lower Price
The Xiaomi 17T Pro offers a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 3500 nits, which is excellent for daily use and content consumption. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, delivering smooth performance in multitasking.
The triple rear camera is 50 MP (main) + 50 MP (optical zoom) + 12 MP (ultra-wide) with Leica lenses, and the front camera is 32 MP. The battery is the highlight: 7000 mAh with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. It also supports IP68, but its 219 g weight may feel heavy for some users. It does not include a charger in the box, and the wireless charger is sold separately.
Pricing starts at 52,736 EGP on Amazon.eg in Egypt, from 3,199 SAR in Saudi Arabia, and from 2,899 AED in the UAE. It is an attractive option for those who want long battery life, fast charging, and a high refresh rate display without spending a lot.
Verdict
If you want the best versatile camera, strong performance, and the complete Apple experience and do not mind the high price, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is your choice. If a huge battery, fast charging, and a 144Hz display are your priorities, and you are looking for value for money, the Xiaomi 17T Pro delivers that at a much lower price. In short: iPhone for Apple fans and camera lovers, Xiaomi for those who want long battery life and cost savings.
