Samsung said sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra in Europe are up almost 50% year-on-year compared with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 over the same period. The comparison covers the nine weeks after launch, with the new series arriving on August 7.
The company also said online searches across major European markets rose more than 260% during September. The biggest jump came in the week of 6-12 September, at 460%.
Samsung linked the figures to growing consumer interest in foldables and said the new design moves from quick interactions on the cover screen to deeper viewing, reading and gaming on the main display. The report was published by Android Headlines on October 22, 2026.
Reports note that pre-orders for the series broke records and that the devices had a strong first week of sales. The news comes as the wide foldable segment gets busier, with Apple announcing the iPhone Duo, OPPO planning a wide foldable, Xiaomi already announcing the Xiaomi 18 Fold, and Huawei first to market with the Pura X Max.
In Saudi Arabia, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is listed at 6,999 SAR at Jarir, according to MobiArabia data. For buyers deciding now, the phone is already available locally, but there is no information that the European results have changed local pricing or stock, so the choice still depends on your need for the device and how it compares with rivals.
