Huawei officially launched the Mate 90 Series at an event in Shenzhen, China, on October 1, 2026. The lineup includes four models: the Mate 90, Mate 90 Pro, Mate 90 Pro Max, and Mate 90 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN.
The RS ULTIMATE DESIGN is powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chip and features a Full-color Linglong Display. It supports Tiantong Satellite Communications, BeiDou Satellite Messaging, and four-SIM three-standby.
The RS ULTIMATE DESIGN also includes the True-to-Color Camera 3.0 with an 18 EV ultra-HDR main camera. It debuts Dynamic Lenticular Kunlun Glass and an Ascending Texture rear cover in Red, White, and Black, along with a titanium frame and an octagonal rear camera bump.
Pricing for the series starts at CNY5,999 for the Mate 90, CNY6,999 for the Pro, CNY9,499 for the Pro Max, and CNY12,999 for the RS ULTIMATE DESIGN. The RS ULTIMATE DESIGN tops out at 2TB of storage.
Android Authority reported that Huawei has no plans to launch the Mate 90 phones outside China. Huawei also announced the external Ruiying Z10 camera, which supports the Mate 90 Pro Max Collector's Edition and Mate 90 RS Master Edition. It has a one-inch 50MP RYYB sensor, 24–240mm continuous optical zoom, and f/2.0 to f/4.5 aperture, starting at 5,999 yuan.
