Huawei Announces MatePad Air Z in Standard and Enjoy Edition Versions

Huawei has added the MatePad Air Z to its MatePad Air family in two versions, featuring a 12-inch 144Hz display, Kirin chipset, and HarmonyOS 7.

Huawei has added the MatePad Air Z to its MatePad Air family, arriving in Standard and Enjoy Edition versions. Both versions were already available for pre-sale through Huawei's VMall store, though Huawei had not announced an official launch date at the time.
The tablet comes in five colors: Coral Orange, Island Blue, and Space Gray for the Standard model, and Nebula Pink and Moonlight Silver for the Enjoy Edition. Both versions use Huawei's Kirin T93S23 chipset and run HarmonyOS 7.
It features a 12-inch Ultra HD Eye-Care PaperMatte display with 2.8K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an 88% screen-to-body ratio. According to Techgenyz, the 12-inch IPS LCD has a 2,800 x 1,840 resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and 900-nit peak brightness, with refresh rates adjustable between 30, 60, 90, 120, and 144Hz.
Cameras are an 8MP front and 50MP rear on both versions, with different camera housings. Both share a 10,100mAh battery; the Standard supports 66W charging with a 66W charger, while the Enjoy Edition ships with a 40W adapter. Both have a six-speaker stereo system.
The Standard MatePad Air Z starts at 3,699 yuan for 8GB/256GB, up to 4,999 yuan for 12GB/256GB PaperMatte, with another PaperMatte configuration at 4,299 yuan. The Enjoy Edition starts at 2,999 yuan for 8GB/128GB, with a top 12GB/256GB PaperMatte at 4,499 yuan. Huawei has not said when or if the MatePad Air Z will be sold outside China.
