Huawei has officially announced the Pura 90 Plus in China, after opening pre-orders and showing a teaser the week before. It is the only model in the Pura 90 family with a curved metal frame, while the other models have flat edges.

The phone is the first to use the Kirin 9025 chip, and Huawei says combined hardware, software, chipset and cloud optimizations improve overall performance by 19%. It comes in four colors: Obsidian Black, Snow White, Sunset Purple and Dawn Gold.

The front carries a 6.8-inch quad-curved LTPO display with 2848 x 1276 resolution, a 1Hz to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It runs HarmonyOS 7 and supports Super Storage, which Huawei says can free up to 110GB on the 1TB model.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with a 1-inch size, f/1.6 to f/4.0 variable aperture and OIS; a 48MP macro telephoto with f/2.1 and OIS; a 40MP ultra-wide with f/2.2; and a 1.5MP multispectral color camera. Software features include XMAGE Smart Shooting, XMAGE Style, AI Pose Recommendation, AI Assisted Composition, Ultra HD Panorama, AI Ultra HD Enhancement, Super Night Scene and Space Chasing.

The battery is rated at 5,700mAh with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, and the phone supports two-way BeiDou satellite messaging. China configurations are 12GB + 256GB at 5,499 yuan (about $815), 12GB + 512GB at 5,999 yuan (about $889) and 16GB + 1TB at 6,999 yuan (about $1,037), with sales starting at 10:08 on October 31. A Double 11 Renewal Season offer runs October 28 to November 30 with up to 300 yuan (about $44) off, with renewal pricing starting at 5,199 yuan (about $770).

The phone is not sold in Egypt or the Gulf yet, and Huawei has not announced local prices or launch dates. MobiArabia will add store prices once it arrives in the region.
