iQOO has officially announced the iQOO 16 in China on September 29, 2026, succeeding the iQOO 15.
The phone has a 6.85-inch Samsung M16 LTPO AMOLED display with 3168 x 1440 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. It supports up to 2800 nits full-screen brightness and 10,000 nits peak local brightness, along with 3300Hz PWM dimming.
It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 built on a 2nm process with CPU speeds up to 5.01GHz, paired with a Q4 gaming chip. The battery is 8,400mAh with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging, plus an 8,500mm² VC cooling system.
The rear cameras include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP Sony periscope telephoto with OIS, and a 50MP ultrawide, while the front camera is 32MP. The device runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7.
Pricing starts at 5,999 Yuan (around $900) for 12GB+256GB and goes up to 8,499 Yuan (around $1,275) for 16GB+1TB. The phone is now on sale in China, and a global version was spotted at Europe's EEC certification, though there is no official word on global availability.
