Gizmochina reported on October 15, 2026, that a live shot of the Oppo Reno 17 had leaked ahead of an expected November launch. According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the Reno 17 series is in development with both large and small screen models.
The series is expected to focus on a trendy design and a 200-megapixel camera, with new features for live photos and photo editing, plus a dedicated AI button. It is also said to come preloaded with Android 17-based ColorOS 17.
A leak from SmartPrix suggests the Reno 17 will inherit several specifications and design cues from the previous generation, with an image showing it as a refined version of the Reno 16 without major design changes. The standard model may come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, a battery of around 7,000mAh, and a 50-megapixel triple-camera system.
The series is expected to debut in China in November and head to India by early January 2027. According to the report, there will be no Pro model in the lineup, a decision mainly limited to the Indian market. The same tipster previously claimed Oppo is evaluating bringing support for a telephoto extender to the Reno 17 lineup, but there is no clarity on whether it will be available.
For buyers in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, there are no official details yet on price or availability for the Reno 17. The current OPPO Reno16 is priced at 38,999 EGP on Amazon.eg, 2,649 SAR on Amazon.sa, and 2,485 AED at Sharaf DG. So if you are deciding now, the Reno16 is available, while waiting means keeping an eye out for an official Reno 17 announcement with no confirmed date for Egypt or the Gulf.
