Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A08 in India, after unveiling it last month. The phone runs on a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99+ processor with Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics, and Samsung claims gains of up to 84% in single-core, 43% in multi-core CPU and 60% in GPU performance over the Galaxy A06.
It has a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 x 1600) Infinity-U LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5. The listed version comes with 4GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 64GB of storage, and storage can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD.
The rear setup pairs a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and LED flash, while the front camera is 8MP f/2.0. A 6000mAh battery supports 25W wired fast charging, and Samsung says video playback lasts about 22% longer than on the Galaxy A06.
The body is 8.0mm thin and weighs 197g, with IP64 dust and splash resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It ships with Android 16 and One UI 8, and Samsung promises six major Android upgrades and six years of security patches. Other features include Circle to Search 3.0, Samsung Knox, Quick Share and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The 4GB + 64GB model is priced at Rs. 18,499 in Dark Blue, Silver and Green, sold through Samsung Exclusive Stores, authorized retailers, Samsung.com and major online platforms, with no-cost EMI of up to six months on bank cards and up to nine months through NBFCs. For buyers in the region, the Galaxy A08 is listed at 11,099 EGP at 2B in Egypt, 789 SAR at Jarir in Saudi Arabia and 588 AED at Noon in the UAE, so it is available now rather than something to wait for.
