Vivo has officially launched the Y600 in the Chinese market. The phone packs a 10,000mAh typical-capacity battery, an unusual size for a smartphone, and supports wired charging up to 44W plus reverse charging over USB-C.
The handset earned a Guinness World Records title after an August test in which it streamed content continuously for 32 hours and 37 minutes.
Its display is a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 2,800 x 1,260-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support and 10-bit color. Power comes from a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset built on a 6nm process, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and it runs OriginOS 6, Vivo's Android-based software.
The rear camera is 50 megapixels with an f/1.8 aperture, while the front camera is 8 megapixels. The phone includes an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, face unlock, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G and an infrared remote control. It measures 163.9mm in height and weighs 224g or 225g depending on color, and comes in Sapphire Blue, Diamond Gold and Obsidian Black.
In China, the 6GB+128GB version is priced at 1,999 yuan (about $280), the 8GB+128GB at 2,099 yuan (about $295), the 6GB+256GB at 2,199 yuan (about $310) and the 8GB+256GB at 2,499 yuan (about $350).
The phone is not sold in Egypt or the Gulf yet, and Vivo has not announced local prices. MobiArabia will add store prices when it arrives in the region.
