If you are looking for a budget phone with a large screen and a huge battery, the Infinix Hot 70 and TECNO Spark 50 might be on your list. In this comparison, we highlight what each phone does better and where it falls short, then explain who should buy which.

1Infinix Hot 70: Fast charging and water resistance

The Infinix Hot 70 comes with a 6.78-inch display with a 60Hz/90Hz/120Hz refresh rate, giving you smooth scrolling in apps. Its 6000 mAh battery supports 45W fast charging, a strong feature in its class, along with reverse charging up to 10W. It is also IP65 dust and water resistant and weighs 195 g.

In terms of performance, the phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor, which is mid-range, so do not expect exceptional performance in heavy games. RAM reaches up to 8 GB with extended memory, and storage is 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 type. The main camera is 50 MP with an f/1.85 aperture, 75.5° field of view, and autofocus, while the front camera is 8 MP with an f/2.0 aperture, 77.7° field of view, and fixed focus.

Its main drawbacks are that the display resolution is only HD+ (720×1576) and it does not support 5G networks. Its price starts at 10,699 EGP in Egypt, 829 SAR in Saudi Arabia, and 799 AED in the UAE.

This phone is suitable for those who want fast charging, a large battery, and water resistance, and do not mind an HD+ display or the lack of 5G.

2TECNO Spark 50: Bigger battery and higher RAM

TECNO TECNO Spark 50 Price now: 9,999 EGP · 2B Full specifications

The TECNO Spark 50 stands out with a massive 7000 mAh battery, larger than that of the Infinix Hot 70, but fast charging is only 18W via a Type-C port. The display is 6.78 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate, but its resolution is only 720×1600. RAM reaches up to 24 GB (16 GB extended), 18 GB (12 GB extended), or 12 GB (8 GB extended), and storage is 256 GB or 128 GB.

The main camera is 50 MP with a rear flash, and the front camera is 8 MP with a front flash. The phone runs on a G81 processor, which is fine for daily use but not for heavy gaming. Another strength is its dual speakers with DTS technology.

Its main drawbacks are that the display resolution is only HD+ and 18W fast charging is relatively slow compared to its large battery. Its price starts at 9,999 EGP in Egypt, 649 SAR in Saudi Arabia, and 699 AED in the UAE.

This phone is suitable for those who want the longest possible battery life, large RAM, and dual speakers, and do not care much about fast charging or high display resolution.

Verdict

After comparing, if you prefer faster charging (45W), IP65 water resistance, and are willing to pay a bit more, the Infinix Hot 70 is the better choice. But if longer battery life (7000 mAh), huge RAM (up to 24 GB), and a lower price are your priorities, the TECNO Spark 50 is more suitable. In short: choose the Infinix Hot 70 for fast charging and durability, and choose the TECNO Spark 50 for a massive battery and budget price.
