Apple has officially announced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, at its September 9, 2026 event.

Apple officially unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, at its event on September 9, 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
The inner display measures 7.6 inches, which Apple says is 50% larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max screen. When closed, the phone uses a 5.4-inch outer display, and both screens share the same aspect ratio.
Both displays are Super Retina XDR with ProMotion and Always On, and reach up to 3000 nits peak outdoor brightness. The inner screen has a nano-texture finish to reduce glare and crease visibility. When opened, Apple says the iPhone Duo is the thinnest iPhone it has made, with a grade 5 titanium body.
It runs on the A20 Pro chip with a vapor chamber and a dual-battery design. The front camera sits under the inner display and is hidden when not in use, with Apple Pencil (USB-C) support promised later this year.
Colours are star white and night sky, with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. The US price starts at $1,999. Pre-orders open Friday, October 16, with availability from Friday, October 23.
