New leaks reveal Galaxy S27 Ultra camera details

Recent leaks suggest the unannounced Galaxy S27 Ultra may keep a large rear camera plateau with two circular cutouts and one oblong cutout.

New leaks have surfaced about the Galaxy S27 Ultra, a phone Samsung has not announced and which is known only from unofficial renders and reports. According to SamMobile on September 28, 2026, the leaks suggest the phone will keep a large rear camera plateau with two circular cutouts and one oblong cutout.

Inside the oblong cutout, the layout from top to bottom is said to be a telephoto camera, a microphone, a sensor array, and an LED flash. Leaker Steve 'OnLeaks' Hemmerstoffer shared an updated render on X, calling it the most up-to-date and accurate rear camera configuration. Leaker IceUniverse backed that information, saying it is probably the closest-to-life interpretation of Samsung's camera layout so far.

Android Authority reported the same day that OnLeaks' render shows a telephoto lens, microphone, auxiliary sensors (Laser AF), and LED flash stacked top-to-bottom in a pill-shaped enclosure. OnLeaks noted that third-party case makers missed the rear microphone cutout in their early molds.

IceUniverse had analyzed four different third-party case iterations from China's supply chains and questioned whether Samsung dropped the Laser AutoFocus sensor. IceUniverse then responded to the new render, claiming updated information from an authoritative source places the camera at the bottom with the flash above it, so the two leakers disagree.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S27 Ultra in January or February, with more design leaks likely before then. The phone may mark the series' most significant redesign in years, and public reaction to the leaked design on social media has been mixed. No price, availability, or launch region was stated.
