What is SAR radiation value?
SAR value is a measure of how much radio-frequency energy from a phone is absorbed by the human body, expressed in watts per kilogram.
SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) is a number that shows how much energy a phone emits and how much of it is absorbed by the body when the device is held against the head or kept in a pocket. Every phone is tested internationally, and the maximum allowed limit is 1.6 W/kg in the United States and 2.0 W/kg in Europe and most other countries.
In daily use, you will not feel any direct difference between one phone and another because of its SAR value, since all devices sold in the market comply with safety limits. However, the value matters for people who keep the phone close to their body for long periods or make frequent calls, as staying within the limits reduces unnecessary exposure.
When buying, look for the SAR value on the phone's spec page or in the user manual, and make sure it is below the limit allowed in your country. Typical values usually range between 0.2 and 1.5 W/kg, and any number within this range is considered normal and safe. There is no need to reject a phone for a slightly higher number that is still within the limits, as the real difference in normal use is very small.
