This is based on leaks and reports and hasn't been confirmed by the maker. Details may change at launch.

A report suggests Samsung is working on a Galaxy S27 Pro alongside the usual models, with increased Exynos 2700 production.

Key points
  • Reported Galaxy S27 Pro to join Galaxy S27, Plus, and Ultra
  • Exynos 2700 in Europe and Korea, Snapdragon in China and US
  • Exynos 2700 production reportedly up almost 10% over predecessor
  • Samsung hasn't decided on Exynos 2700 for Galaxy S27 Ultra
  • Opinions divided within Samsung over Exynos in Ultra phone

According to a report from The Elec, Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy S27 Pro that would join the standard, Plus, and Ultra models. The company has not officially confirmed this.

The report says the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Plus, and Galaxy S27 Pro will all be available with an Exynos 2700 processor in some regions. Exynos models are expected in Europe and Korea, while Snapdragon variants are expected in China and the US.

Samsung has reportedly increased Exynos 2700 production by almost 10% compared to its predecessor. This increase is apparently attributed to the S27 Pro adopting the chip in some markets.

Samsung hasn't apparently decided if it will use the Exynos 2700 chip in the Galaxy S27 Ultra. If it does, it would be the first time since the 2022 Galaxy S22 Ultra that an Ultra phone has Exynos silicon.

Opinions are said to be divided over the use of Exynos in the Ultra phone. Samsung's LSI division is apparently in favor, while the Mobile Experience (MX) unit is said to be weighing factors like performance, heating, and unit costs before making a decision.
