Gizmochina reported on October 16, 2026 that a reliable tipster shared key details about the iQOO Z12 Turbo, which may launch globally as the iQOO 16R. According to the leak, iQOO is said to be evaluating a built-in cooling fan for its mid-range Z-series phone.
The tipster said the device is expected to feature the Qualcomm SM8845 Pro chip, which will reportedly be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6. The iQOO Z11 Turbo / iQOO 15R was an early adopter of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip.
The Z12 Turbo engineering prototype reportedly has a 6.59-inch display with an ultra-high refresh rate; the Z11 Turbo has a similarly sized display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The Z11 Turbo houses a 7,500mAh battery, but its successor may pack a considerably larger battery. Back in July, tipster DCS hinted the Z12 Turbo could have a battery of around 10,000mAh.
The iQOO Z11 Turbo was announced in January 2025, followed by the iQOO 15R's India launch in February. It remains to be seen whether the iQOO Z12 Turbo and iQOO 16R will follow a similar release schedule. No price or availability details were provided.
There is no information yet on whether the iQOO Z12 Turbo or iQOO 16R will be sold in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, or the UAE, and no local prices are available. We will add store prices once official details arrive.
