Reports from Gizmochina on October 13, 2026 have shared details about the unannounced OnePlus 16R. According to tipster Yogesh Brar cited by the site, the phone has reached the Production Validation Test (PVT) stage, a relatively late phase in a device's development.
The leaks indicate the OnePlus 16R will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, last year's flagship processor, paired with a 165Hz display. The battery is said to be larger than 7,500mAh, which would be a big figure compared to current flagships.
On the camera side, the phone is tipped to have a triple 50MP rear setup, including a dedicated telephoto lens. This would bring back optical zoom after the OnePlus 15R skipped the telephoto entirely. However, specific zoom levels and sensor details are not yet known.
