New leaks suggest that Redmi is tentatively planning to launch the standard Redmi K100 toward the end of October. This follows the debut of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China in August, which did not include the standard model.
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the phone will focus on Snapdragon dual-chip performance, a massive battery, an ultra-high-refresh-rate display and Bose-tuned audio. However, Redmi has yet to confirm the launch date or these details, so the timeline remains unofficial.
In August, tipster Digital Chat Station shared details about an engineering prototype. The handset could feature a large, flat display measuring between 6.8 and 6.9 inches with an ultra-high refresh rate, possibly 185Hz. The phone is tipped to include a battery approaching 10,000mAh.
The K100 may draw power from 2024's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and may feature a dedicated display chip for gaming. Other reported features include symmetrical dual speakers, a relatively large linear vibration motor, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and an IP68 rating.
The Redmi K100 is expected to sit below the K100 Pro, which reportedly starts at 3,699 yuan (approximately $550) in China. If Redmi follows that positioning, the standard model could start at around $450, though actual price and memory configurations are unknown.
There is no information yet on availability or pricing for the Redmi K100 in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or the UAE. The series has not launched locally, and we will add store prices when it arrives. For now, those in the region looking for a Redmi phone can consider current available models or wait for the official announcement.
